The mission of the Turkish Development Foundation is to contribute to and support the improvement of human well-being, the reduction of social vulnerabilities, and the protection of the planet.

The vision of the Turkish Development Foundation is to be a leading civil society organization in its field; one that perceives development needs at the national, regional, and local levels; conducts research to meet these needs; and prepares and implements projects, supported or partnered with by the public sector, international organizations, civil society, or the private sector, focusing primarily on increasing income, human development, and protecting the planet, especially in rural areas.

TKV'S RURAL DEVELOPMENT IMPLEMENTATION PRINCIPLES
1. Starting from the present: Taking into account the existing economic, social, and cultural conditions of the region and aiming to improve the existing structure in a positive direction.
2. Ensuring participation: Projects should stem from local needs and demands, and the active participation of the target group should be ensured.
3. Ensuring sustainability: Taking measures to ensure that projects continue even after TKV support ends.
4. Reaching the poor: Focusing primarily on poor families in the region in the studies.
5. Adaptability: Projects should be compatible with the expectations of the target group and also adaptable to other regions with similar conditions.
6. Increasing income: Projects should increase the existing income of families and create additional income sources.
7. Holistic approach: Different or consecutive projects implemented in the same region should be complementary to each other.
8. Women-oriented: Projects should enable women to reach positions appropriate to their social functions.
9. Environmentally sensitive: Nature conservation should be at the center of the projects, and nature should be protected. use of harmless technology and inputs
